What?

If you have a Hobby Lobby in your area you have probably seen these flowers. They have almost a leather feel to them. I worked them around into a wreath and added pearls and birds. The Christmas Tree is one of my recent Goodwill finds. It was 2.93 cents....such a strange price for an awesome tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Books that call your name

I was drawn to the colors of the bunny book and the cool illustrations of the other.
Normally I can spot "old" books right away when I go down the aisle and glance at the books. Usually when I find the really cool books I have spent the time almost going one by one. I have always loved books and bought lots of Golden Books when my girls were young. Now I get my niece cool ones. I find it really, really hard to cut up books....or re purpose them..... I always have a stack of thrift books that I can thumb threw.

I am not a right wing extremist

Good morning,
I wanted to talk about the Tea Party that i attended here in Valdosta. When I got home and started watching some of the coverage mainly on national TV I thought I better post a blog entry and assure you all that I am not a right wing extremist. I am a stay at home mom, blogger, vintage and country lovin person. I respect the office of the President, I am not a racist, I just think it is a bad thing to make Government bigger and lastly my hard working husband owns his own business and he is literally getting taxed to death. That is it, to me it is not about a political party it is about a principle.

Thought I would post a picture of my little 10x10 foot area I have at "Southern Trademark" antique mall located in Adel Georgia. I am having fun stocking it.
Have a great day,

Tax Day Tea Party

I've got several things going. I just got back from staying with my Grandma in Erath Louisiana. My Mom went with my Grandpa Dr. Chet Boudreaux on an "Honor Flight" to Washington D.C. and I stayed with my my Grandma. She turned 89 the day we got there. My Grandfather is 88. I love getting local goodies from the Wal-Mart there.

Next in line is my Tax Day Tea Party sign my daughter made for me. I love my country and I respect the office of the President, and our Taxes are really high......thus all of that means "silence is approval" so I am going to the tea party. I am sort of shy so I will just hold the sign in front of my face.....LOL!!!!!!

Last a cool perfume lamp I got on E bay. A carriage for Marie Antoinette....gotta love it!!!!!!!

Have a great day and Make a Memory.....
That is my plan

Pink Dogwood

We planted a Pink Dogwood tree in our back yard last year about this time. I took this picture this morning. It is small but oh so pretty. Here in Georgia it is soggy, big time. We are no longer in a drought, but boy have we had the rain!

Have a great day,
Stephanie

Craft Bug!

I got bit by the crafting bug. I was inspired by the new Stampington's Marie issue. Wow!
Major eye candy. I gathered some neat stuff up and got the glue gun out!
I also painted some eggs..... Eggs under glass! While I was crafting the dogs were trying to find a warm spot. The last fun craft was a bride clip art I had added some tulle and some crepe paper and Wha La!

Sunny Sunday in Valdosta Georgia

Valdosta is also know as "Azalea City" our town is full of Dogwoods, Wisteria, Japanese magnolias and so much more. All those beautiful plants plus the Pine trees cause everything around them to be YELLOW.....Pollen abounds!!!! Our whole family is sneezing and vying for the closet Kleenex box.

I went to check on my booth in Adel yesterday and added more goodies. I am having fun and seem to always be thinking of things I need to do to improve it.

I found picnik and I am totally addicted. I am turning black and white clip art to colors at a very fast rate.
