Went to Goodwill this morning right when they opened. I see the same people there almost every time I go in the morning time. It is like a coffee club. They all talk and discuss what they find and want and don't want and what they are going to do with the treasure. All walks of life shop there. I can tell some people are uncomfortable shopping in Goodwill, not me!

I have been officially Crowned!

Mary Ann from "Follow your Bliss" sent me an awesome package! My paper crown was so cool. The paper she used really made it pop! My tea cup and saucer were perfect pastel! She even sent me an apron, in a paisley print. She sent me three buttons,which were so well done. I found her blog and "Follow Your Bliss" has become one of my reminders when I get a little weary trying to be a Wife and Mom and Sister and Daughter. Those are the most important things in my life and I am needed less and less in the "Mommy" department. Having a 17 and 13 year old daughter is a first for me...LOL That is what we tell the girls, "We've only been parents to you all!" LOL, they are good girls. It is a big change that I knew was coming,but has been harder dealing with.

Starbucks, glitter and wannabe Putz
It is a beautiful day here In South Georgia. I decided to make a mess on my porch rather than add to the clutter on my kitchen table, my bedroom and the ironing board in the laundry room. I have projects and disasters in each location.
I have a question, "Is it possible to have chills and Hot Flashes at the same time?"
My answer is yes, I get chills when I think of a neat idea or make something new, all the while having a hot flash with all the extra ingredients, dizzy, sweaty......UGH!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally...........................
I finally went to Michaels and saw Martha Stewart's new craft line.
Wow, very neat. I bought some spools of bakers string and a marker and some tags.
I am doing a June COLOUR Swap, we each chose a color, and my partner loves pink just like ME! Cheeky from Create a Connection is hosting. I am passing all the pink on......
The little wooden frame is for my next project. I am going to fill it with miniature treasures......
My Mom got me this syrup jar and pillow case while thrifing. Fun Fun!

"Ingredients"
I made a discovery while working on my "Vintage Button Swap" cards due June 23rd. I was drinking my Favorite Diet Caffeine Free Coke and added Sugar Free Vanilla......
syrup... yum yum. This is the first card. I really like simple lines and so much of what I see has 3 or 4 mediums used. This may be a little plain. I am gonna stare at it for awhile.

One Across....What you drink out of?
I am mailing my Cupcake swap package today. It has been a fun challenge. My mind is a little frazzled, because I have had some flops! I tried a cupcake out of felt that looked more like a cake. You know one of those cakes cooked at high altitude and then someone opens the oven door..........which is about the time you discover you missed putting in one ingredient.....Really bad!!!!!!! Flat cake vs. Cupcake. Oh well back to crafting.......................

Happy Monday Morning

This is the first day my girls are out for the summer. I officially have a Eighth Grader and Senior in High School.
I don't have to wake up at 5 o'clock anymore. I am not going to sleep in to late. I love the morning. First thing is my coffee with a little etsy and some Blogs!

My brother and his wife had a baby May 4th. This is a picture of me holding him and seeing him for the very first time. He is precious.
Four generations. My Grandmother is in the Middle,(stella) my mom is in the navy(diane) I am in the other one. My Grandfather is holding Ivy she will be 17 tomorrow. I am blessed.

tiny chairs and pattern
Have been feeling under the weather these past couple of days. Right before I left for Atlanta I found these neat little chairs. This is the first pattern I have ever bought.

off to Hot' Lanta
My Husband is taking me to Hear John Legend tonight at Chastain Park.
We are flying out this morning. It only takes an hour to get to Atlanta.It is basically a four hours drive ........I am so excited.
We went to hear Burt Bacharach in the same place about five years ago.
Lenox square makes my heart go pitter patter as well.

"coffee filters?" you say......
I made coffee filters flowers today. I put food coloring in bowls and let them soak up the color, the folded and cut the filters and twisted onto wire and "WAH La" flowers...There is a button flower staring at the camera....The one eyed purple people eater

basket swap I sent to Tiffany
I got Tiffany a plate and bowl of old fiestaware in sunflower yellow .
A cute drinking glass with flowers and a cute little blue green candle holder. She has two dogs so i included an apron just for that it is water proof. One of my first ever tin finds matched perfect and she likes tins. She loves to scrapbook, so I was excited to find the book for just one dollar and threw that in along with flower stickers and material inside the basket.

May Day Basket Swap
Great fun was had by all. The pictures in the flickr group say it all. Artsymama hosted a basket swap and I was fortunate to be able to join! My swap mate sent me an awesome basket. One decorated jar was full of yummy chocolate and the other had ribbon galore. I especially liked the long string of ribbon rose buds. So fun to open and display.

Hi,
Well it was a sad day yesterday. I have been praying for the families.
We have a University here that my oldest daughter is going to apply for when she graduates from High School next year. It made me think of that beautiful campus and all the local people that attend. It would be very traumatic for our whole community.
The Today Show had a segment featuring cell phones that could transmit a warning within two minutes. That is one of the best advances I have heard of.
On a lighter note I made some Art Tags. Michaels is having a huge sale. I got some neat stickers yesterday.
